Variety reveals 10 Actors to Watch

Thesps to be feted at the Hamptons Intl. Film Festival next month

Variety has unveiled its 10 Actors to Watch: Breakthrough Performers of 2012 list, with the thesps to be feted at the Hamptons Intl. Film Festival next month.

This marks the 15th year that Variety editors have compiled a 10 Actors to Watch list, choosing thesps with breakout potential.

The actors hail from six different countries, reflecting the increasingly global thrust of the entertainment biz.

From the U.S. are Dree Hemingway (“Starlet”), Boyd Holbrook (“The Host”), Adam Driver (“Inside Llewyn Davis”), Scoot McNairy (“Killing Them Softly”) and Nate Parker (“Arbitrage”).

Others selected are Oz native Bella Heathcote (“Not Fade Away”), Britain’s Imogen Poots (“Knight of Cups”), Alicia Vikander of Sweden (“Anna Karenina”), Ireland’s Domhnall Gleeson (“Anna Karenina”) and Elyas M’Barek (“Turkish for Beginners”) from Germany.

The group will assemble at the Hamptons fest on Oct. 7.

Previous 10 Actors to Watch honorees include Emma Stone, Jennifer Lawrence and Jeremy Renner.
