LONDON — The U.K.’s Film4 has promoted Sue Bruce-Smith to head of commercial and brand strategy and Sam Lavender to commissioning executive, it was announced Thursday.

Bruce-Smith will continue to oversee financing and distribution of all projects from U.K. broadcaster Channel 4’s feature film division, and will lead the strategic vision for the brand’s future. She takes on the expanded role from her current position as head of commercial development.

Lavender is Film4’s head of development and will work across a range of projects in his new role. Film4 will shortly look for a replacement for Lavender’s current role.

In 2011 Film4 increased its annual budget 50% to £15 million ($24.1 million) per annum for five years.

The company’s slate includes “Seven Psychopaths,” which received its world premiere at the Toronto Film Festival, “Hyde Park on Hudson,” which screened at Toronto following a world premiere in Telluride, and “Sightseers,” which played at Toronto having seen its world premiere in Cannes.
