Legendary Entertainment has upped Ty Warren to exec VP of physical production as the banner pumps more pics through its pipeline.

Warren had been senior VP of production for the past year. He reports to Jon Jashni, Legendary’s president and chief creative officer.

Warren is currently supervising physical production on Legendary’s “Pacific Rim,” which Guillermo del Toro is lensing in Vancouver; “Seventh Son,” to star Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore; “42,” with Harrison Ford; “300: Battle of Artemisia”; the upcoming “Wrath of the Titans”; and Legendary East’s first pic, “The Great Wall,” with Ed Zwick set to helm.

“Ty has brought to Legendary a breadth of experience at an integral time for the company,” Jashni said. “Given the increase in our autonomous production activity, we will benefit greatly from his focus and leadership.”

Before joining Legendary, Warren was DreamWorks Pictures’ senior VP of production, working on the first two “Transformers” pics, “Revolutionary Road,” “Dreamgirls” and “Sweeney Todd.”
