Paramount Pictures is getting back into the danger zone, with plans for an exclusive six-day 3D IMAX bow of “Top Gun” on Feb. 8.
Release comes prior to the “Top Gun” Blu-ray bow on Feb. 19.
Starring Tom Cruise and helmed by Tony Scott, pic made more than $350 million at the worldwide box office when it was released in 1986.
Par did a similar exclusive IMAX release with “Raiders of the Lost Ark” back in September prior to the release of the “Indiana Jones” trilogy on Blu-ray. The “Raiders of the Lost Ark” re-release was so popular that the studio extended its run.
