TM sells ‘Ruby Red’ to Russia

Carmen Films gets rights to time travel pic

TM International has sold the Russian rights to time travel movie “Ruby Red” to Carmen Films.

It’s the first all-right deal for “Ruby Red,” which is in post-production and will be released in Germany on March by Telemunchen’s theatrical distribution arm Concorde Filmverleih.

Based on Kerstin Gier’s novel, the movie is adapted by Katharina Schöde and Felix Fuchssteiner (who also directs). Maria Ehrich and Jannis Niewohner star along wtih Kostja Ullmann, Josefine Preuss, Veronica Ferres, Katharina Thalbach and Axel Milberg.

Story is centered on a London teen who becomes a pawn in a sinister conspiracy when she realizes that she can time-travel.

TM International made the deal at AFM, where it’s also selling the feature adaptation

of Juli Zehs’ “Gaming Instinct.”
