The Seattle Intl. Film Festival will fete Sissy Spacek and helmer William Friedkin as 2012 Tribute Honorees.
Spacek will be presented with the achievement in acting award on June 7, and Friedkin will be honored with the lifetime achievement award on June 9.
Honorees will be presented with glass statues, crafted by Dale Chihuly, at dinner events that are open to the public.
Spacek most recently appeared in “The Help.” Her memoir “My Extraordinary Ordinary Life” is set for a May 1 release.
Best known for “The French Connection” and “The Exorcist,” Friedkin is taking his latest film “Killer Joe” on the fest circuit. Pic, starring Matthew McConaughey, Emile Hirsch and Gina Gershon, will screen at the fest.
Fest takes place May 17-June 10 and includes more than 250 features and 150 short films.
