Moviepilot, the Berlin-based recommendation/discovery platform and operator of Germany’s largest film fan website, has landed in Los Angeles to launch a social media agency devoted strictly to marketing movies and TV.
By engaging with fans of movies and shows long before their release, Moviepilot gains insight into demographic and taste profiles via Facebook Connect — intelligence studios use to more effectively target auds. Site operates 15 themed pages on Facebook and has already run campaigns with Paramount, Universal, Disney, Warner and Fox.
“Our knowledge of movie and TV fan behavior and big data patterns, together with our experience of running social campaigns across various channels, complete a unique offering for the industry that meets an increasing demand,” said co-founder and CEO Tobi Bauckhage.
