Coming off a turn as Linda Lovelace’s mother in “Lovelace,” Sharon Stone has signed on to co-star in “Mother’s Day,” the indie drama that follows the interconnecting relationships of 12 mothers and daughters over the course of the titular holiday.
Ensemble cast features Christina Ricci and two sets of real-life mothers and daughters — Susan Sarandon and Eva Amurri Martino as well as Andie MacDowell and Rainey Qualley.
Paul Duddridge is writing and directing the pic, which is being produced by Danielle James and Steve King.
In addition to “Lovelace,” Stone recently wrapped Marc Turtletaub’s indie comedy “Gods Behaving Badly,” in which she plays Greek goddess Aphrodite. The Oscar-nominated “Casino” thesp is also attached to star in John Turturro’s “Fading Gigolo” and Tony Kaye’s “Attachment.”
