Safran acquires ‘Born Again Ben’

Book to be published by Can of Worms Enterprise

Peter Safran has snapped up film rights to Rob Sprackling’s novel “Born Again Ben.”

Book, to be published by Can of Worms Enterprises, tells the story of an 11-year-old whose strongest passion in life is being a bully. One day, he is hit by a bus and is reborn as a cockroach.

Sprackling previously wrote the screenplay for the animated feature “Gnomeo & Juliet.”

UTA announced the deal Wednesday.  The deal was made on behalf of Gemma Hirst of Gemma Hirst Associates in the UK, who made the book deal.

Sprackling is represented by UTA and The Gotham Group.
