Roadside Attractions gets ‘Branded’

Cast includes Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor and Max Von Sydow

Roadside Attractions has acquired North American rights to sci-fier “Branded” and plans a nationwide theatrical release this September.

Lionsgate has home entertainment, VOD and other ancillary rights through their output deal.

Branded” takes place in a surreal, dystopian society where corporate brands have unleashed a global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive.

“Branded” was co-written, produced and directed by marketing executives Jamie Bradshaw and Alexander Doulerain. Bradshaw co-founded the Ignition Creative advertising agencies and Doulerain is chief creative officer of one of Russia’s TNT network.

Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor, Ingeborga Dabkunaite and Max Von Sydow star.

The deal was negotiated by Howard Cohen on behalf of Roadside Attractions and by Cassian Elwes and Dean Cheley for Barbossa Production S.A. and the filmmakers.
