The Publicists Awards, celebrating their 50th anniversary in 2013, have been set for Feb. 22, in their traditional slot two days before the Oscars.

“This golden anniversary celebration will reflect the glitz and excitement that publicists bring to the entertainment industry,” ICG prexy Steven Poster said of next year’s event, which will be held at the Beverly Hilton.

Henri Bollinger chairs the awards committee, a position he has held for 31 years. Bollinger has been involved with the event for its entire history.

“There is no question that publicists are integral to the ultimate success of movies and television shows,” Bollinger said. “This is our annual opportunity to champion our craft and our creativity.”

Among the honors at this past year’s event, the publicity teams behind “The Help” and “Modern Family” received top film and TV kudos, while “Harry Potter” franchise producer David Heyman and CBS’ David Stapf received showmanship trophies. Tony Angellotti earned the Les Mason Award, while Warner Bros. publicist Sharon Black, received the Bob Yeager Award.
