Tom Cruise and Bill Paxton — together at last.
Though their careers have spanned more than three decades, the thesps have never worked together. That should change as Paxton is in negotiations to star in Warner Bros. sci-fi action pic “All You Need Is Kill,” joining Cruise and Emily Blunt.
Doug Liman is directing the graphic novel-based pic about a soldier (Cruise) in a war against aliens who relives his last day over and over after being killed. Through the training and battles he experiences in these time loops, he becomes a better soldier. Paxton will play the tough leader of Cruise’s platoon.
Erwin Stoff, Tom Lassally and Jason Hoffs are producing “Kill” through 3 Arts Entertainment. Dante Harper penned the script with Joby Harold, who’s doing a rewrite and serving as exec producer. Pic set to start production later this fall in London.
The WME-repped Paxton recently finished production on the Universal actioner “Two Guns” and was last seen in the History miniseries “Hatfields and McCoys,” for which he received an Emmy nomination.
