Paramyth launches ‘Athens, My City’ omnibus pic

Nika and David Agiashvili will produce

Paramyth Films is launching “Athens, My City” as a feature compilation of a dozen short films about the Greek capital city in the vein of “New York, I Love You.”The banner is in pre-production and plans to begin lensing in the fall. Project was developed by and will be produced by Paramyth’s Nika and David Agiashvili. Paramyth partners Kelly and Van Vlahakis will also produce, as will Dimitri Birbilis.

“Athens” will use 12 directors, who will each helm a film ranging from three to 10 minutes that take place in Athens. The Agiashvilis, who recently co-produced a similarly themed movie “Tlibisi, My City,” will oversee the physical production.

Paramyth will premiere its first feature “A Green Story” at the LA Greek Film Festival on Thursday. “Green Story” stars Ed O’Ross and Shannon Elizabeth in the story of a Greek immigrant who arrived in America with only $22 in his pocket and eventually founded Earth Friendly Products.
