Neal McDonough is in negotiations to join the cast of Lionsgate-Summit’s “Red 2.”
McDonough joins returning cast members Bruce Willis, Helen Mirren, Morgan Freeman and John Malkovich as well as Anthony Hopkins, Catherine Zeta-Jones and Byung-hun Lee. Dean Parisot is on to direct.
In this installment, Willis and company are searching for a weapon of mass destruction but must first break out the man who created the weapon from an insane asylum.
Original “Red” scribes Jon and Erich Hoeber wrote the script, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce.
The Paradigm- and Inphenate-repped McDonough was most recently seen on the “Justified” and in the indie film “The Philly Kid.” He’s set for a role in Frank Darabont’s TV drama “L.A. Noir.”
