Max Minghella (“The Social Network”) is in early negotiations to join Shawn Levy’s 20th Century Fox comedy “The Internship,” which is also adding Josh Brener (“Glory Daze”), Tiya Sircar (“Friends With Benefits”) and newcomer Tobit Raphael to its supporting cast.
“Wedding Crashers” stars Vince Vaughn and Owen Wilson are set reunite for the project, which Levy’s 21 Laps Entertainment banner will produce with Vaughn’s Wild West Picture Show Prods. shingle.
Vaughn and Wilson play old school salesmen who, finding themselves suddenly unemployed and passed-by in the digital world, try to reinvent themselves by becoming interns at a major tech company.
Minghella is in talks to play a ruthlessly competitive intern who plans to sabotage the protags in order to land a coveted full-time job. Brener is set to play another intern who helps and is helped by the heroes.
Minghella is repped by CAA and Anonymous Content. Brener is repped by Talent Works, which also reps Sircar and Raphael. TV veteran Sircar is also repped by John Carrabino Management and attorney Howard Fishman, while Raphael is managed by Eileen O’Farrell.
