James Marsden’s next mission will be to order Mark Wahlberg around, as the thesp has signed on to play a naval commander in Universal’s “Two Guns.”
Pic stars Wahlberg and Denzel Washington as a Navy SEAL and a DEA agent, respectively, who work together despite not knowing that the each is doing so undercover. When the duo steal millions from the CIA, they discover double-crossing associates who will do anything to retrieve the money.
Baltasar Kormakur is directing the pic , which is being financed by Emmett/Furla.
Randall Emmett and George Furla are producing with Marc Platt, Andrew Cosby and Ross Richie. Blake Masters penned the script.
The WME and Brillstein Entertainment repped Marsden can be seen next in Sony Picture Classics “Robot and Frank” and The Weinstein’s “Bachelorette.”
