Louis C.K., Dice Clay in Woody Allen pic

Cate Blanchett, Bobby Canavale, Peter Sarsgaard also join film

Woody Allen has cast Alec Baldwin, Cate Blanchett, Louis C.K., Bobby Cannavale, Andrew Dice Clay, Michael Emerson, Sally Hawkins and Peter Sarsgaard in his latest movie.

The film will be shot in New York and San Francisco this summer. It’s the second time that Allen has directed in San Francisco — 43 years after his directorial debut in “Take the Money and Run.”

Co-stars include Max Casella and Alden Ehrenreich for the untitled pic, which is a Gravier Prods. film produced by Allen’s longtime producers, Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum.

Allen won an Oscar for best original screenplay for “Midnight in Paris.” The director’s “To Rome With Love,” will open the Los Angeles Film Festival with its North American premiere on June 14, to be followed by a June 22 release via Sony Pictures Classics.

Allen has shot his recent films in Europe with the exception of 2009’s “Whatever Works.”
