ROME — The 7th Los Angeles-Italia Film Fashion and Art Festival will celebrate Italo production design and set decoration duo Dante Ferretti and Francesca Lo Schiavo, Oscar-nommed for art direction on Martin Scorsese’s “Hugo.”

The husband-and-wife team will receive an Excellence Award during the Italo showcase, which runs Feb. 19-25 at Mann’s Chinese Theater in Hollywood.

Fest will also pay tribute to late Spaghetti Western maestro Sergio Corbucci, whose 1966 cult classic “Django,” inspired Quentin Tarantino’s “Django Unchained,” which is due for release Dec. 25

Event, chaired this year by helmer Pupi Avati, will also feature first-and-second works from young Italian filmmakers.

Headed by Pascal Vicedomini, a journo with pubcaster RAI, Los Angeles-Italia is a sister event to two Italian fests, Capri-Hollywood and Ischia Global, both dedicated to establishing a creative and business bridgehead between Hollywood and Italy’s film and showbiz communities.
