Image Entertainment plays ‘The Numbers Station’

Action thriller stars John Cusack and Malin Akerman

Image Entertainment has bought all U.S. rights to Kasper Barfoed’s action thriller “The Numbers Station.”

The movie stars John Cusack and Malin Akerman and was acquired from Content Media Corp.

The Numbers Station” was financed by Matador Pictures and Picadilly Pictures and by Blue Lake, a fund managed by Echo Lake Entertainment and Blue Ice Capital Group.

“The Numbers Station” was produced by Sean Furst and Bryan Furst of Furst Films and Nigel Thomas of Matador.

The announcement was made Wednesday at the opening of the American Film Market.

Image Entertainment is planning a first quarter theatrical release.

Script is written by F. Scott Frazier andd story centers on a disgraced former black ops agent (Cusack) assigned to protect the code operator for a small CIA broadcast station in a barren region.
