“Since his arrival at Silver Pictures, Alex has proven to be a valuable asset to the company,” said CEO Joel Silver, who made the announcement along with company prexy Andrew Rona. “He’s incredibly creative and has great taste in material.”
Since joining Silver Pictures, Heineman conceived, developed and exec produced Todd Phillips’ Warner Bros. comedy “Project X,” which has grossed over $100 million worldwide.
Heineman is currently in New York producing Jaume Collet-Serra’s airplane thriller “Non-Stop,” starring Liam Neeson and Julianne Moore. He’s also overseeing numerous projects for Silver Pictures including WB’s “Line of Sight,” which he developed from another original idea with screenwriter F. Scott Frazier; “Ben 10,” based on the Cartoon Network property; and a screen adaptation of Ross Macdonald’s “The Galton Case,” which is part of Random House’s Lew Archer series.
Prior to joining Silver Pictures, Heineman was a VP at Rogue Pictures, where he was responsible for overseeing the hit horror films “The Strangers” and “The Last House on the Left.” He began his career at Dimension Films in New York.
