Fox Searchlight is further cluttering the year-end awards season: It will bow helmer Sacha Gervasi’s “Hitchcock” domestically on Nov. 23. Pic will start out in limited release.

It had been rumored the film would bow this year but that depended on whether it would be finished in time. Pic, which chronicles the development and production of Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho,” began shooting April 13.

Anthony Hopkins stars as the legendary director. Scarlett Johansson plays Janet Leigh, with James D’Arcy co-starring as Anthony Perkins and Helen Mirren as Hitchcock’s wife Alma Reville. Toni Collette, Jessica Biel and Danny Huston co-star.

Pic’s Friday bow during Thanksgiving weekend pits it against Sony Pictures Classics’ limited release “Rust and Bone.”

Wide releases on Nov. 21 include Fox’s 3D epic “Life of Pi”; FilmDistrict’s actioner remake “Red Dawn”; Toronto Film Festival award winner “Silver Linings Playbook,” from the Weinstein Co.; and DreamWorks Animation’s “Rise of the Guardians,” the final DWA pic to be distributed by Paramount.
