CANNES — DLT Entertainment has launched a new distribution company with upstart Raydar Media, a content management and creation company set up by international TV exec Alison Rayson.
The joint venture, DLT/Raydar Rights LLP, will handle distribution of finished show and formats across all genres.
It will be the exclusive worldwide distributor for Raydar Media and third-party producers, and function as DLT’s sales company for the world, excluding the U.S. and the U.K.
In the U.S., DLT will handle all finished programs flowing through DLT/Raydar Rights, plus its own fare.
U.S. format exploitation of DLT/Raydar properties will be jointly handled by DLT and Raydar.
DLT, run by Don Taffner Jnr., is a well-known sales company and producer having scored with such high-profile U.K. comedies as “My Family” and “Miranda.”
Last year, Rayson stepped down as the head of Target Entertainment after 13 years with the company she founded.
