Disney will showcase a flurry of rare and never-before-seen clips, photos and art during its first-ever “Fanniversary” show, a theatrical experience that will unspool at six cities in April, May and June.
First showing takes place April 27 at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank; tour ends June 24 at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago. Stops include San Francisco, Boston, New York and Walt Disney World.
Showcase features material from movies, cartoons, theme-park attractions and other Disney creations that celebrating anniversaries in 2012, including 1937’s “Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs,” the launch of Star Tours (1997), the opening of EPCOT Center in 1982 and the 1967 opening of Pirates of the Caribbean.
Tickets to the event go on sale Friday and are $25 for the general public.
