Walt Disney Studios has promoted Asad Ayaz to senior VP, marketing live action, Marvel, while Ticole Richards has been upped to senior VP, international marketing.

 

The two report to Ricky Strauss, president of marketing for the studio.

 

Ayaz manages the strategic planning, development and execution of global marketing campaigns for Walt Disney Studios live action and Marvel film releases, including “The Avengers,” which has gone on to earn more than $1.4 billion since its bow May 4.

 

Ayaz is responsible for marketing and messaging strategy, positioning, and tactical development for each advertising campaign.

 

He has held a variety of positions during his eight-year tenure with Disney, including VP of global marketing strategy and communications, and director of brand marketing.

 

Richards will oversee international marketing campaigns for all theatrical releases.

 

She has spent her entire professional career at the Mouse House, most recently serving as VP of international creative film services, focusing on overseas territories. She joined Disney in 1994, as VP of marketing and creative film services.
