Clark Gregg building ‘Trust’

Dark comedy to star Rockwell, Peet, Huffman, Macy

Unified Pictures, Savage Bunny and Bron Studios are partnering on dark comedy “Trust Me” with Clark Gregg directing from his screenplay.

Pic began shooting last week in Los Angeles.

Story centers on a loser agent for young actors who is also a washed-up child star himself. He stumbles upon a brilliant 13-year-old prodigy (played by Saxon Sharbino) and then tries to close the mega-deal that will make her a star while managing her drunk volatile father.

Gregg is also starring along with Amanda Peet, Paul Sparks, Felicity Huffman, Allison Janney, William H. Macy, Molly Shannon and Sam Rockwell.

Trust Me” is being produced by Mary Vernieu and Clark Gregg under their new banner, Savage Bunny, along with Aaron L. Gilbert of Bron Studios, and Keith Kjarval of Unified Pictures. Margot Hand is co-producer and Rockwell is exec producing. UTA is handling domestic rights.

Kjarval and Gilbert recently teamed on the thriller “A Single Shot” starring Rockwell, Jeffrey Wright, Melissa Leo, Jason Isaacs, and William H. Macy, which is currently in post-production.
