LONDON — Christian Slater has joined the cast of Lars von Trier’s erotic drama “Nymphomaniac,” which is shooting in Cologne, Germany.

The pic focuses on a woman’s erotic journey from birth to the age of 50, as told in eight chapters by Joe, a self-diagnosed nymphomaniac.

Joe is played by Charlotte Gainsbourg in later life and British model Stacy Martin in flashbacks. Slater will play her father.

Slater’s recent roles include Fox’s comedy skein “Breaking In,” and action movies “Assassin’s Bullet” and “Soldiers of Fortune.” He will be seen next in Warner Bros.’ “Bullet to the Head.”

The cast of “Nymphomaniac” also includes Stellan Skarsgard, Shia LaBeouf, Jamie Bell and Connie Nielsen.
