CBS Films dates ‘The To Do List’

Aubrey Plaza pic set for Valentine's Day

CBS Films has set a Valentine’s Day release for Maggie Carey’s “The To Do List,” starring Aubrey Plaza.

CBS Films financed the film, will handle domestic distribution and has sold all worldwide rights.

The To Do List” was produced by Jennifer Todd for the Mark Gordon Co. and by Brian Robbins and Sharla Sumpter Bridgett through Summer Break Prods. for their Varsity Pictures banner. Mark Gordon, Maggie Carey, Bill Hader, Tracy McGrath, Greg Walter and Tom Lassally are exec producers.

Carey (“Funny or Die Presents”) directed from her own script.

Plaza stars as an overachiever who comes up with a “to-do list” featuring all the extra-curricular activities she missed out on in high school and wants to complete before college. Rachel Bilson, Bill Hader, Andy Samberg, Scott Porter, Connie Britton, Clark Gregg, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Donald Glover, Johnny Simmons, Sarah Steele and Alia Shawkat co-star.

“The To Do List” will open against Warner Bros. supernatural romancer “Beautiful Creatures,” Fox’s “A Good Day to Die Hard” and The Weistein Co.’s animated “Esxcape From Planet Earth.”
