ROME U.S. producer Saul Zaentz and his nephew and partner Paul Zaentz will be feted by Italy’s Biografilm Festival where indie Hollywood fare will play prominently.

The Saul Zaentz Co. will be celebrated with a mini-retro, comprising “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest,” “Amadeus” and “The English Patient,” while the Zaentz duo will get a lifetime achievement nod.

Paul Zaentz will also be on the fest’s jury, presided over by U.S. film critic Leonard Maltin.

Bologna-based fest, billed as a cinematic celebration of human lives, will also host the world preem of helmer Cass Warner’s Dennis Hopper documentary, “Hopper: In His Own Words,” and the Italian bow of Susanne Rostock’s Harry Belafonte docu “Sing Your Song,” among other titles.

Eighth edition of the event, headed by Italo critic and film industry entrepreneur Andrea Romeo, will feature a slim competish comprising 10 international pics out of 450 submitted, each centered around a character’s life and work.

Fest will run June 8 to 18.
