Bernthal joins Scorsese’s ‘Wolf of Wall Street’

Leonardo DiCaprio, Jean Dujardin also star

Jon Bernthal has signed on to join the cast of Martin Scorsese’s “The Wolf of Wall Street” starring Leonardo DiCaprio.

Pic also stars Margot Robbie, Jonah Hill, Kyle Chandler and Jean Dujardin.

Terence Winter (“Boardwalk Empire”) adapted Jordan Belfort’s memoirs, which chronicle his rise and fall on Wall Street, along with his hard-partying lifestyle and tumultuous personal life. Bernthal will play Belfort’s friend and drug dealer.

Red Granite is financing, and principals Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland will produce along with Scorsese, Emma Tillinger Koskoff, Irwin Winkler, Alexandra Milchan, DiCaprio and his Appian Way partner Jennifer Killoran.

Best known for his role as Shane on AMC’s “The Walking Dead,” Bernthal is currently filming the TNT drama “L.A. Noir” and just wrapped production on the indie “Snitch.”

He is repped by WME and The Burstein Company.
