Trio in talks to join Radcliffe in ‘Horns’

Temple, Anderson, Garner circling Aja-directed pic

“Killer Joe” star Juno Temple, “The Grey” thesp Joe Anderson and Kelli Garner are in advanced negotiations to join Daniel Radcliffe in Alexandre Aja’s “Horns.”

Red Granite Pictures is financing the Keith Bunin-scripted adaptation of Joe Hill’s supernatural fantasy/thriller novel.

As Variety first reported, Max Minghella is in negotiations to co-star in the pic, which follows Ig Perrish (Radcliffe), who awakes one morning to find horns starting to grow from his own head. He soon realizes their power drives people to confess their sins and give in to their impulses — an effective tool in his quest to discover the truth about his late girlfriend’s murder. Temple is in line to play the girlfriend.

Red Granite will co-produce with Mandalay Pictures. Red Granite International, led by Danny Dimbort and Christian Mercuri, will handle foreign sales and begin discussions with international buyers this week in Toronto. Production is skedded to start this fall.

Red Granite’s Riza Aziz and Joey McFarland will produce with Mandalay prexy Cathy Schulman. Hill will exec produce with Red Granite’s Joe Gatta.
