Tracy Morgan hospitalized at Sundance

Comedian passed out after accepting Creative Coalition honor

Comedian Tracy Morgan was hospitalized Sunday night at the Sundance Film Festival after falling unconscious from exhaustion and altitude sickness at the Creative Coalition Spotlight Awards in Park City, his publicist, Lewis Kay, confirmed to Variety.

The ”SNL” alum was being honored at the event, where he appeared intoxicated during his acceptance speech, after which he was escorted outside and passed out. However, Park City Medical Center spokeswoman Amy Roberts said no drugs or alcohol were found in Morgan’s system.

An ambulance took Morgan to a nearby hospital for treatment.

“From a combination of exhaustion and altitude, Tracy is seeking medical attention,” Kay said.

TMZ was first to report the news.

“He is with his fiance and grateful to the Park City Medical Center for their care,” Kay said. “Any reports of Tracy consuming alcohol are 100% false.”
