Brecheen helped Charlie Sheen negotiate rich paydays for FX series “Anger Management” and CBS’ “Two and A Half Men.” “Anger Management” initially licensed 10 episodes with an automatic addition of 90 more episodes if certain benchmarks were met, which was triggered in August. “In order to do that, you have to be willing to bet on yourself, which is always what Charlie has been willing to do,” says Brecheen. “Charlie never once said to me, ‘Whatever you do, don’t blow the deal.’ To innovate, you have to have a client who is not afraid.” The big automatic back-order concept was pioneered by Tyler Perry TV series at Debmar Mercury/Lionsgate, which also produces “Anger Management.” Brecheen’s other TV clients include Conan O’Brien, Jenny McCarthy, Imagine Television and Kevin Beggs, who is Lionsgate Television Group prexy. She works closely with the firm’s name partner Jake Bloom on clients who include producers Jerry Bruckheimer, Chuck Roven’s Atlas Entertainment (“The Dark Knight Rises”) and Barry Josephson.
