It continues the tradition of Emmett / Furla taking on exciting, action-oriented scripts.” said Emmett.

“Fair Trade” centers on a limo driver who’s down on his luck despite having a masters degree. When his son has a seizure and needs surgery, he learns that the insurance company won’t cover it. With no money, a mysterious man approaches arren offering him a deal: he’ll pay for the child’s surgery if the limo driver kills a mobster.

Ericson Core will direct with a script from Matt Aldrich. “Fair Trade” is an adaptation of the Serbian film “The Trap.”

Production starts in the summer of 2013 in Pittsburgh.

Liam Neeson was previously attached to star. “Although Emmett / Furla is hopeful to recommit Neeson to the film, they will move forward with production if they are not able to do so,” the company said.
