Atlas International on ‘Yellow’

Cassavetes pic portrays parallel realities

Atlas International has come on to handle international sales for Nick Cassavetes’ “Yellow,” which is screening at the Toronto Intl. Film Festival.

Pic is produced by Manu Kumaran, Chris Hanleyand Jordan Gertner. It centers on a substiture teacher (played by Heather Wahlquist, who also co-wrote the script with Cassavetes), who hallucinates her way through the drudge and grind of everyday life by fantasizing about parallel realities.

Cast members inclue Sienna Miller, Melanie Griffith, Gena Rowlands, Lucy Punch, Riley Keough, Max Thieriot, Daveigh Chase, David Morse, Ray Liotta, Brendan Sexton, Ethan Suplee. The film’s first screening at Toronto took place Saturday.

The Atlas International lineup includes Stephen King’s “A Good Marriage” and “Sweetwater,” starring Ed Harris and January Jones.

ICM Partners is handling the domestic distribution rights for “Yellow.”
