Some bits and pieces of various sizes that fell through the cracks while I was in Toronto:

Variety senior film critic Justin Chang offered his reflections on the Venice Film Festival, which had “Pieta” win the Goldon Lion so that “The Master” wouldn’t end up with too many awards.

— Incorrect episodes representing Zooey Deschanel and Max Greenfield were sent out to voters in the Emmy lead comedy actor and actress categories, forcing a re-issue and re-vote. Gold Derby was instrumental in discovering the error.

— Dustin Hoffman, David Letterman, Buddy Guy, Natalia Makarova and Led Zeppelin have been selected to receive this year’s Kennedy Center Honors.

—  Louis C.K., Jim Parsons, Amy Poehler, Ricky Gervais, Ginnifer Goodwin and Mindy Kaling were in the first group of presenters announced for this year’s Emmys.

— Oscar producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron will receive this year’s Visionary Award at the eighth-annual Legacy Awards on Oct. 13 at L.A.’s Orpheum Theater.

— Mike Birbiglia of “Sleepwalk with Me” will host the Gotham Awards on Nov. 26.

— The National Society of Film Critics selection of awards for 2012 will take place at the Film Society of Lincoln Center on Jan. 5.

— The Palm Springs film fest will also have its awards gala Jan. 5.

— Beth Harris has been named marketing director of the Dolby Theater, home of the Academy Awards. Previously in her career, Harris was the first marketing director hired by AMPAS to focus year-round on marketing of the Academy Awards.

— Here’s a teaser trailer for Steven Spielberg’s “Lincoln.”
