This year’s Berlin Film Festival Homage is dedicated to Oscar winner Meryl Streep. Today, Steep will be awarded the Honorary Golden Bear for Lifetime Achievement at a screening of her latest work, “The Iron Lady,” at the Berlinale Palast.

Streep has appeared in more than 40 films. She has received more than 100 awards nominations; she won Oscars in 1982 for her leading actress role in “Sophie’s Choice” and in 1979 for supporting actress in “Kramer vs. Kramer.” Streep previously was honored at the Berlin Film Festival with a Silver Bear for best actress in “The Hours” (2002) and the Berlinale Camera Award (1999).
