MediaMine has teamed with Carson Entertainment Group to release two Johnny Carson-themed games for Facebook and mobile devices.
The “Here’s Johnny Trivia Game” for Facebook includes more than 1,000 questions about the latenight yakker. Game will also include 400 clips and 1,500 images from “The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson,” which spanned three decades.
The “Carnac the Magnificent” app available via iTunes and Android Market features Carson, in character as his soothsayer character, answering mystery questions.
The new games were possible due to the 2010 digitization of 3,300 hours of “Tonight Show” programming. CEG archived the content online for licensing.
“The potential for digital asset management solutions and content monetization in today’s new transmedia environments is practically limitless,” said Barry Snyder, co-founder of MediaMine. “What’s old is new again.”
MediaMine’s recent projects include content for Don Rickles and Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner’s Edith Ann character.
