Video for the Day: “Left, Right & You”

This year is seeing an obvious uptick in all projects political, particularly in web series. One of the latest is "Left, Right & You," which tries to explain, in an unconventional way, the lock that the two parties and big money have on the presidential contest. The race between President Obama and Mitt Romney already is strikingly negative, and we've yet to see the barrage of ads and attacks to come after Labor Day. This type of a campaign was predicted from the start, but the cynicism hasn't been enough to elevate a third party movement. Americans Elect, an elaborate and well-funded effort at bipartisanship, just kind of collapsed.

The first of filmmaker Kimball Carr's video series is here. I'll spotlight more as the campaign continues.
