Education provider The Film Training Co. will hold a three-day series of cinematography seminars and demos at the George Eastman House and Young Lion Studios in Rochester, NY, on April 25-27. Confirmed speakers for the event, Master’s POV 2011, include d.p.’s Robbie Greenberg (“The Milagro Beanfield War”), Daniel Pearl (“Texas Chainsaw Massacre”), Mark Sawicki (“Gangs of New York”) and commercial cinematographer David Darby.
The Vitec Group will turn its NAB presence into a teaching experience via a live “Meet the Experts” event at its booth featuring eight daily half-hour sessions covering such areas as studio lighting, microwave usage, batteries and HDSLR technology. In addition to speakers from Vitec member companies, guests will include d.p. Vincent Laforet, filmmakers Philip Bloom and Michael Huss, photographer Bill Frakes and “The Outdoorsman” producer and host Buck McNeely.
