WE TV has renewed hourlong reality series “Joan & Melissa: Joan Knows Best?” for a 10-episode second season.
Featuring mother-daughter duo Joan and Melissa Rivers, who live together during the shoot, program will have its next season premiere in January.
The series premiere Jan. 25 doubled the network’s usual primetime average during the 9 p.m. hour and has maintained a boost of more than 50% among household viewers throughout its freshman year. The finale of the eight-episode first season aired Tuesday.
” ‘Joan Knows Best?’ has proven to be a hit for WE TV,” said WE TV and Wedding Central senior veep of original productions and development John Miller. “Each episode features an intimate sneak peek into the lives of this famous pair and sheds light on what we as viewers don’t usually get to see.
“This is a mother and daughter who love each other madly but experience the same ups and downs as all of us. It’s this aspect that makes the show so relatable and fun for women.”
