WE TV has ordered six hourlong episodes of “Sinbad’s Family Affair,”

an unscripted series focusing on the professional and personal ups and downs of the comedian.

Series will air at 10 p.m. Tuesdays beginning Apr. 12. Among the story threads are Sinbad’s comeback attempt after his film and TV roles dried up, and his reunion with his family after re-marrying his ex-wife.

“Sinbad’s story is one of second chances,” WE TV and Wedding Central senior veep of original productions and development John Miller said.

“It’s remarkable and heartwarming, but not without its drama, conflict and chaos. This is a modern family that’s reunited, and they’re dealing with the emotions and issues that come along with that. It’s what viewers will see more of on WE tv, and women will be able to connect with this story and this family, either from their own experiences or those of people in their life.”

Series is one of the new projects produced by Thinkfactory Media, the shingle previously known as Boutique TV and headed by Leslie Greif, Adam Freeman and Adam Reed.
