USA’s ‘Eden’ finds its Light

Actress added to cabler's drama pilot

Judith Light has been cast in the USA Network drama pilot “Eden.”

Eden” centers on a hotel concierge, who, with the help of his escaped con cousin, give their guests whatever they desire.

Light will play John’s mom, a free-spirited, eccentric woman who, when off her meds, battles a grandiose delusional disorder that leads her to believe she is related to a diverse group of famous people. Ever the optimist, she’s the only one who holds out hope that her husband, who disappeared 14 years ago, will some day show up on her doorstep.

Shooting is under way in Gotham. Show, from Universal Cable Prods., is exec produced by writers Ken Hanes and Mary Hanes. Jace Alexander is directing the pilot.

Others already cast in include Nick D’Agosto, Enver Gjokaj and Camille Guaty.
