Univision recruits Perez-Nahim for TeleFutura

Exec will be senior VP and operating manager

Univision Communications has tapped TV vet German Perez-Nahim, the former general manager of Venezuelan web Televen, as senior VP and operating manager of its sister web TeleFutura.

Perez-Nahim replaces Bert Medina who moves on to become senior advisor of special projects for Univision Studios. Both report to Luis Fernandez, prexy of Univision Entertainment and Univision Studios.

Perez-Nahim’s 30 years in the biz as a writer, programmer, producer and distributor include a brief stint as VP of Univision Studios after leaving Televen barely three months ago. His previous positions include that of executive VP and general manager at Coral Pictures Corp. and Eurocoral Television; VP of sales, marketing, programming and production at Radio Caracas Television; and an independent distributor at Sky Quest.

With Univision since 1998, Medina has been senior VP and operating manager for TeleFutura for nearly six years. Before this, he was VP and general manager of Univision’s WGBO and TeleFutura’s WXFT stations in Chicago.
