Terry O’Quinn is returning to ABC.
The former “Lost” star has been cast in Alphabet’s Marc Cherry musical pilot “Hallelujah.” Plot centers a small Tennessee town where fortunes change when a mysterious stranger comes to town, bringing justice, peace and possibly restoring faith in the world that the residents so desperately need.
O’Quinn will play Del, a wealthy resident who uses his resources to get away with various criminal activities.
Pilot, directed by Michael Apted, is being produced by ABC Studios. Cherry exec produces with Sabrina Wind.
Jesse L. Martin and Frances O’Connor had previously been cast.
There was much speculation that O’Quinn would reteam with “Lost” co-star Michael Emerson on NBC’s “Odd Jobs,” but that project never made it to pilot. Emerson has since been attached to CBS’ “Person of Interest.” Both “Odd Jobs” and “Persons of Interest” are from “Lost” co-creator J.J. Abrams.
Other “Lost” alumni in the mix this pilot season include Jorge Garcia, who is co-starring in Fox’s “Alcatraz,” Nestor Carbonell in CBS’ “Ringer” and Henry Ian Cusick in ABC’s “Damage Control.”
