Lionsgate has named Lawrence Szabo exec VP of North American television sales.
Szabo spent 18 years at MGM Worldwide TV Group, most recently as senior VP and co-managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He will oversee sales of Lionsgate’s smallscreen content (such as “Mad Men” and “Boss”) across all platforms on the continent, while coordinating with Alliance Films on distributing Lionsgate’s pic library in Canada.
Lionsgate has also given exec VP of business and legal affairs David Nonaka oversight of worldwide television licensing, and promoted Kate Nexon and Bruce Field within the digital operations group.
New York-based Lionsgate TV sales exec Rand Stoll is segueing into a consulting role, rather than relocate to the West Coast, where Lionsgate’s worldwide TV sales biz has been centralized.
