Reelz nabs Critics’ Choice TV Awards

Cat Deeley set as inaugural kudocast's host

The inaugural Critics’ Choice Television Awards will air on ReelzChannel with Cat Deeley set as host.

Deeley, who hosts Fox’s reality skein “So You Think You Can Dance,” will emcee the event that is set to take place June 20 from the Beverly Hills Hotel. ReelzChannel will televise the show June 22 and repeat it throughout the week. VH1.com will live stream the kudocast.

Awards are handed out by the Broadcast Television Journalists Assn., an offshot of the Broadcast Film Critics Assn. The latter org is behind the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, which hands out its kudos each January in the midst of awards season.

CCTA categories are comedy, drama and reality series, as well as top talkshow and best new series — skeins that debut in summer and fall.
