NBC chairman Bob Green-blatt has tapped Tal Rabinowitz to be the Peacock’s new exec VP of comedy programming.
More such moves are likely in the weeks ahead as Greenblatt taps execs to implement his vision.
Rabinowitz comes from Sony Pictures Television, where she was senior VP of comedy development and digital programming. She replaces longtime NBC vet Jeff Ingold, who is leaving the company.
“In working closely with Tal over the past few years, I found her to be one of the smartest, brightest comedy executives in the business who is also universally embraced by writers, producers, agents, and talent,” said Greenblatt. “She is exactly the kind of creative executive to guide our comedy development as we plot the future of NBC.”
At Sony, Rabinowitz had a hand in developing “Breaking In,” “The Big C” and “Happy Endings.” Previously, she was director of comedy development at the WB (2001-05).
