NBCU taps 3 EVPs for new division

Blanchard, Cardinale, Lazo named to new posts

A trio of Lauren Zalaznick’s lieutenants are donning exec VP stripes at NBCUniversal’s newly formed Entertainment & Digital Networks and Integrated Media division.

Cameron Blanchard and Tony Cardinale have been upped to exec VP of communications and exec VP of brand planning and strategic insights, respectively. Margaret Lazo, meanwhile, has been appointed exec VP for the division and will relocate from L.A. to Gotham. All three will report to division chair Zalaznick.

“Cameron, Tony and Margaret are all highly skilled experts in their respective disciplines and each has been integral to our many successes over the years,” Zalaznick said in a statement issued Tuesday. “Their contributions, particularly through their strategic input around our most important growth initiatives, have been immeasurable.”

Blanchard, formerly senior VP of communications at NBCUniversal Women and Lifestyle Entertainment, will continue to lead communications for that division and will oversee similar for the expanded portfolio at E&DN/IM.

Cardinale’s new responsibilities will include transforming consumer data into workable biz strategies, and Lazo will oversee human resources for the expanded division.
