Maria Menounos ankles NBC

Reporter will develop programming at Telepictures

NBC newsie Maria Menounos has left the net for Telepictures, where she has signed a multi-year deal including gigs as co-host of ”Extra” alongside Mario Lopez, and an on-air role at ”Dr. Drew’s Lifechangers,” which will debut on the CW Sept. 19.

In addition, Menounos will develop programming for Telepictures with an eye toward hosting and exec producing news shows.

Menounos had been at NBC since 2005 under a previous overall deal. She corresponded for ”Access Hollywood,” ”Today,” and ”NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams,” as well as working with ”Dateline.” Menounos’ previous postings have included ”Entertainment Tonight,” along with that show’s spinoffs ”ET on MTV” and ”ET on VH1.”
