More than 1,300 guests celebrated 100 years of the Jewish Federation of Greater Los Angeles at Santa Monica Airport’s Barker Hangar on May 25.

Craig Ferguson joked about the night’s honoree, “I’m here because Nina Tassler’s my boss.”

The CBS Entertainment prexy kept her speech short, thanking CBS’ David Stapf, whom, she said, her husband calls “my day husband.”

Federation topper Jay Sanderson urged guests to stay late for the night’s entertainment, Train. “There’s no Jewish event where you can actually leave on time,” he quipped. And so guests rushed the stage, oftentimes stopping Train’s lead singer, Patrick Monahan, midsong for a photo op.

“We would’ve come even if Nina didn’t promise us our own sitcom on CBS,” Monahan joked. – – — Shelby Hill
